The RAK Report: August 2014

Greetings to those of you who read the RAK Report! It’s apparently that time of year where the weather starts to remind us that we can’t enjoy an endless summer. The mornings here in the Chicagoland area have took a turn for the Fall. Yes, we’re still seeing 80-degree days, but when the mornings start with the need for an extra layer, it’s a reminder that the Chicago winter is just around the corner. Let’s think some happy thoughts.

Screen Shot 2014-08-14 at 9.22.34 AMRAK has been working with a couple of new clients this past July. We completed the initial assessment of Victory Park Capital’s (VPC) communications equipment, infrastructure, services, costs and needs. VPC is a leading capital investment firm in Chicago. We have reported our findings and provided recommendations for cost-effective enhancements to their communications system, and their audio conference and wireless service. RAK is now working with VPC to sort through the options and determine a schedule for implementation. Based on our analysis, VPC could realistically reduce their expenditures between $60K and $70K per year, a savings of 41% to 48%, while providing the tools to make their employees more productive and mobile. By Grabthar’s Hammer, what a savings!

Screen Shot 2014-07-10 at 11.10.22 AMWe are completing our work with Stanton Chase, an executive search firm located in Lake Forest, IL. RAK implemented an option that installed a Hosted VoIP solution which gives them the benefits of Unified Communications features such as mobility, presence and disaster recovery while keeping their costs within their current operating budget. This “seamless” implementation was completed within 30 days from the time RAK received the approval to move forward with the recommendation. What made this project unique was that we brought new technology to an organization that is just beginning to expand with the partnership of CFS Partners, Inc. and the formation of a new company, Keyhires, so that can each company can utilize the system autonomously and collectively.

While RAK is always looking to help businesses find ways to save money on their telecom expenditures right now, we are also happy to step up to the plate for any telecom challenge your organization may be facing. Even if you are just considering ways to expand your organization in the coming years, we would be happy to discuss telecom options that would help you reach your business’ goals. Connect with us today to get the conversation started.

Happy final weeks of summer!

Respectfully,
Anne Kulinski & the RAK Consulting Team
